Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist

Oversees development of the Department's media engagement strategy and tracks media coverage of U.S. foreign policy to strategically engage the U.S. public. Serves as final approver for media engagements by Department officials with U.S.-based media on particularly high profile or sensitive issues. Evaluates the performance of subordinates, plans and sets work priorities based upon workload and abilities. Exercises significant responsibilities in dealing and advising management officials of other units or organizations. Engages members of the national and international media to disseminate, clarify, and defend important U.S. foreign policy messages.
