Biological Science Laboratory Technician (Animal)

Provide daily guidance and support to military, contract and federal civilian employees related to veterinary care, ensuring the assigned work is completed to standard, on time and efficient. Train new and experienced animal users on procedures, techniques, and processes. Provide veterinarian prescribed clinical care, anesthesia and surgical support to non-human primates, swine, ferrets, rabbits, and rodents. Consult with department leadership and researchers to coordinate research support. Perform supply and equipment inventory and ordering, which could include projecting future needs, budget considerations and constraints, and utilizing the government purchase card and current ordering systems.
