CLAIMS EXAMINER (DEPENDENTS & ESTATES)

You will process claims in accordance with applicable federal statutes and regulations. You will input and maintain accurate case information in the Defense Casualty Information Processing System (DCIPS). You will examine claims documents to ensure the accuracy of the contents. You will screen and evaluate medical claim to determine action per regulations and standard operating procedures. You will explain status and regulatory provisions to involved parties. You will generate and release DD Form 1300 (Report of Casualty) and survivors' benefits packages.
