About the role
The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Furnishes authoritative expertise to program personnel on study approaches, surveillance designs, sampling methodologies, data collections, modeling, method development, and analysis of animal health and management activities. Ensures that assigned projects are properly scoped, planned and executed, including assignment of tasks, collection of data from various sources, and application or development of appropriate quantitative or qualitative analytical methods and models. Acts as a technical authority in surveillance and study functions by leading other analysts to develop and enhance animal health surveillance and monitoring systems.
