Supervisory Attorney Advisor (Assistant Chief Counsel)

As a Supervisory Attorney Advisor (Assistant Chief Counsel), you will: Act as Chief of the Federal Lands and General Law Division and supervise staff assigned to the Division carrying out the duties described below. Responsibilities involve planning and reviewing the work of staff, assigning and prioritizing work, evaluating performance of staff, coaching staff on performance improvement as appropriate, and other similar supervisory duties. Provide legal advice and legal opinions with respect to all aspects of the Federal Lands Highway Program and related requirements under numerous Federal statues and executive orders. Provide legal review of environmental impact statements and other environmental documents for Federal Lands projects. Provide legal advice with respect to the advertisement, award and administration of very large (often millions of dollars) Federal construction and supply contracts as well as reimbursable agreements by the Division.
