Supervisory Health System Specialist (Facility Group Practice Manager)

The major duties of this position include but are not limited to: Leads facility level program planning and operational strategy for clinical services ensuring alignment with the Chief of Staff and ELT's priorities, VHA national policies, and VISN level performance directives. Participates in the development and implementation of both long- and short-term policies and plans for the Medical Center. Short term goals include improving patient wait times, addressing current staffing shortages, implementing new procedures or technologies to enhance patient care, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Engages in strategic planning aiming to sustain and enhance the healthcare delivery system's growth and effectiveness. Long term goals include the development of new healthcare programs and services, expansion of facilities, integration of advanced healthcare technologies on a wider scale and establishing partnerships with community healthcare systems and the academic affiliate.
