Supervisory Health Technician (Optometry)

Major Duties include but are not limited to: The heath technician (Optometry) at the supervisory level supervises, administratively manages, and directs the health technician (Optometry) clinical staff up to the GS-8 level at Thunderbird Clinic and Phoenix Facility. Assigning and evaluating the work of subordinate staff. Resolving problems which may interfere with patient examination or treatment Providing optometry services in more complex and non-standard case. Evaluating new developments which would improve operations Participating as an instructor in the facility's clinical training program Making selections based on recommendations from subordinates and/or other optometry personnel Evaluate performance, taking disciplinary action when necessary and identifying education or training need Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Work Schedule: 4 10 hour shits.
