Physician (Geriatrics), Community Living Center - EDRP Authorized

Admitting privileges Provides consultative and direct patient care (inpatient and outpatient); Provides outpatient primary care services to Geriatric population. Completes Geriatric assessments on new admissions. Provides support and medical input to CLC Interdisciplinary Team in managing complex medical issues Provides medical clearance for surgery if needed. Admits, evaluates, diagnoses and treat Veterans with psychosocial and high complexity medical conditions. Completes history and physicals as well as clinical reminders and progress notes per policy Provides education to patients, families and caregivers. Seeks to develop and implement best practices within CLC Service. Attends and participates in Interdisciplinary meetings with Veteran/family. Contributes to the academic mission of the VANTHCS by supervising medical trainees and participating in activities such as educational lectures or research. Complies with national and local performance measures and policies. Work Schedule:
