About the role
This position serves as a Nurse (Lactation) and is the primary Lactation Consultant at a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). Serves as the consultant nurse for Women’s Health Service Line regarding breastfeeding issues. Establishes and maintains a regular follow-up system of continuing care for mothers and their infants. Provides expanded comprehensive and therapeutic health care services to postpartum patients and newborn nursery that combines the services of the Nurse Practitioner and the physician within mutually established medical guidelines. Identifies and manages own caseload of mother/baby patient. Performs routine health assessments for patients.
