Branch Chief - Realty Specialist

Leads and oversees the execution of lease procurement to support projects in which space needs are provided for through the acquisition of leasehold interests in real property and delivery of space containing tenant improvements designed and constructed in order to meet the requirements of customer agencies. In conjunction with the Office of Leasing management team, ensures that real estate acquisition activities have adequate controls in place to ensure compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, and directives and prepares written reports of findings for the Division Director, Deputy Assistant Commissioner and/or Assistant Commissioner, as required. Provides advice and assistance to PBS realty contracting officials on handling unique procurement problems, developing acquisition strategies, innovative solutions, and source selection procedures.
