Supervisory Interdisciplinary Engineer

At the full performance level (GS-14) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Serves as technical advisor to the Regional Director, staff, and line officials of the Region with respect to design and construction activities performed for completion of work through regional solicitations/specifications. Ensures sound engineering principles and practices are incorporated in the Region programs through coordination and planning with responsible program managers. Administers and coordinates, utilizes subordinate supervisors to plan, schedule, assign, set and adjust short-term priorities for work activities for assigned staff of professional, technical and administrative personnel. Represents the agency on highly controversial issues to develop support for water resources decisions and persuade others to accept particular actions, concepts, or approaches. Supervises through subordinate supervisors, the activities of the Office.
