Supervisory Nurse (Clinical/Med-Surg)

Coordinate and assure timely arrival of patients to scheduled procedures during hospitalization. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on one or more units (surgical, medical or combined units). Collect data systematically in a comprehensive nursing assessment through interviews, observation, physical examination, and review of medical record. Provide managerial direction, input, and feedback on unit effectiveness and patient care to staff and senior leadership regarding unit activities, needs and concerns. Assign nursing staff to patient care duties based on priorities, patient condition and complexity, and expertise of individual staff members. Provide formal and informal instructions for nursing staff.
