About the role
As a Research Materials Engineer, you will: Manage FHWA's accelerated pavement testing research program and the Pavement Testing Facility. Identify, plan, conduct, and coordinate research and development activities. Oversee the progress of studies, projects, and contracts involving pavement testing and evaluation. Evaluate findings and promote the use of research results. Prepare technical materials for peer reviewed journals, reports, and FHWA websites. The ideal candidate for this position is a professional with experience managing research and development projects in the conduct of an infrastructure materials research program focused on pavement materials, systems, sensors, and evaluation technology.
