About the role
The Executive Director serves as the accountable official for the Transition Assistance Program (TAP), ensuring Service members and their families understand, access, and successfully navigate the full range of VA benefits and services across the VA enterprise, including VBA, the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), and the National Cemetery Administration (NCA) benefits and services. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for integration of all relevant programming throughout the entire military to civilian transition framework. Coordinates program activities with other VBA offices, Federal and State agencies, Veterans Service Organizations, and private industry. Ensures economic opportunity is accessible to Veterans and their families through the oversight and delivery of Veterans benefit programs. Ensures that VA presents a unified, accurate, and comprehensive set of benefits and services to all transitioning Service members and recently separated Veteran
