Review studies, scopes of work, and design plans for technical accuracy, compliance with fire prevention, protection, and life safety, and feasibility, clarity, and consistency with other engineering features. Prepare design analysis of plan layouts, design computations, selection of materials, components, and equipment that may be incorporated into the design. Provide expert technical guidance on the interpretation, rationale and applicability of codes, standards, regulations, design criteria, and other material in the area of fire prevention, fire protection, and life safety as they apply to the designs. Visit construction sites to investigate and resolve problems which arise during the course of construction. Participate in technical analyses of potential A-E liability claims
