About the role

Coordinate efforts, as appropriate, with US Army Public Health Command to provide exchange of innovation and research data. As part of a team, assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive epidemiology and reportable events and communicable disease prevention and control program. Order labs, medications, radiographs, make referrals to other services and specialty providers, and complete all forms required by Soldier Readiness Programs. Conduct work site visits to educate military and civilian populations, staff and command and/or management, about results of surveillance and the prevention and control of reportable events. Collaborate in the development and implementation of programs to meet the epidemiological needs of the installation and collaborate on epidemiological needs of Public Health Command Region – South. Educate patients and partners regarding prescribed treatment, follow-up procedures and prevention methods used to prevent future infections or events.
