SECURITY ASSISTANT

You will be responsible for the physical protection of sensitive information or other materials. You will ensure information or materials are not compromised, sabotaged or harmed. You will secure safes, arm and de-arm spaces and conduct inventories of classified materials which may include printed publications, lesson and work papers, CD ROMs/DVDs, other media, and aircraft hardware. You will screen Naval Message Traffic including drafting, routing and recovery of messages. You will enter data in the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) to initiate investigations. You will secure personal identifiable information. You will maintain a security roster database. You will assist customers with foreign travel rules, regulations and security clearance requests. You will direct all issues to the appropriate specialist and ensure only eligible personnel have access to secure spaces.
