About the role
Serves as an Engineering Technician responsible for developing plans and designs for a variety of projects of considerable scope and complexity. Repair, maintenance, alteration, and construction of major technical and experimental facilities and installation infrastructure. Incumbent exercises knowledge gained from extensive experience and on-the-job training in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering work. Prepares plans, designs, and specifications required for approved special projects involving maintenance, repair, alteration, or construction. Inspects facilities and prepares reports with various engineering features. Prepares projects of broad scope and complexity for accomplishment by open-ended architectural/engineering (A-E) design/study development contracts.
