About the role
Serve as functional lead over other technicians, engineers, other technical specialists and serves as subject-matter expert (SME) in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and related software and data platforms. Perform work in support of assigned facility administration functions at Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) and forward sites as the DSCR GIS Program Manager. Incorporate forward sites into the GIS model and ensures master planning and area development plans at the forward sites. Independently analyze data based on GIS, AutoCAD, and EBS to produce initial project scopes and prepares for programming and execution. Develop project plans based on customer input, Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Automated Computer Aided Drafting (AutoCAD), and the Enterprise Business System (EBS) data or requirements outlined in the Installation Master Plan. Serve as point of contact (POC) for facility planning regarding GIS and AutoCAD.
