Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audit (Program Audits and Evaluations)

The Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audit (Program Audits and Evaluations) serves as an advisor and participates fully with the AIGA in the development and direction of the nationwide audit program, which is designed to effectively respond to the interests and needs of the IG in carrying out the mission and functions of OIG. Such participation includes: Development of audit plans, policies, procedures and short- and long-term goals, and assessment and formulation of budget requirements to accomplish program plans and goals. Providing executive-level guidance and direction to directors, managers, and teams, including developing audit and evaluation ideas, determining the most effective and efficient approach to be followed in the performance of the audits and evaluations, and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion of the audits and evaluations.
