About the role
The primary purpose of this position is developing and delivering programmatic policy guidance and technical support relative to firearms and explosives to all components of the Bureau at both the Headquarters and field operational levels. EPS also drafts the regulations that implement Federal firearms, explosives, alcohol diversion, and tobacco diversion laws within ATF's area of responsibility through its five divisions and Office of Regulatory Affairs. As the Deputy Assistant Director, Office of Enforcement Programs and Services your typical work assignments may include: Planning, directing, coordinating and executing programs involved with developing and providing policy guidance and technical support relative to firearms and explosives to all functions of the Bureau. Knowledge of the Federal and State laws, regulations, court decisions and court procedures relating to firearms and explosives.
