About the role
You will perform arrival inspections of systems/components to determine existing conditions (deficiencies/discrepancies) in support of nuclear reactor plan criticality prior to the start of an overhaul. You will conduct a shop and shipboard test to verify and document component, equipment, and system conformance to rigid specifications for satisfactory operational performance. You will perform electrical/electronic, electro-mechanical and sound isolation inspections on nuclear submarines and nuclear/nonnuclear surface ships. You will perform the receipt inspections of Level I material, Controlled Industrial Material (CIM) and Non-Level material. You will conduct a pre-test/final inspection after the system/component installations are complete.
