Establish priorities for patient care and evaluate patients’ progress toward high-level wellness. Screen patient charts to assess the medical history and determine health care needs. Execute or ensure the completion of orders from health care providers. Oversee educating patients for high risk, painful or stressful procedures with education and support. Develop appropriate nursing plans. Respond to emergency situations.
