About the role
This position is located in the Operations and Training Section of an Army National Guard (ARNG) Aviation Support Facility C AASF). The purpose of the position is to manage the Operations and Training Section of the AASF and to perform flight instructor duties. The incumbent supervises 3-12 aircraft light instructors, flight engineers and flight operations specialists. Positions in this series involve piloting or co-piloting aircraft to carry out various operational programs and functions of the Army and Air National Guard. The work provides ground and flight instruction and evaluation in aircraft piloting. The positions perform staff work concerned with planning, analyzing, or administering agency specific aviation programs, where the work requires primarily the application of pilot knowledge and skills.
