Plans, administers, evaluates, and improves the travel compliance program. Interprets, analyzes, and applies Federal travel law, Department of Defense travel regulations, financial guidance, and internal requirements to travel operations. Develops, refines, and maintains procedures, guidance, instructions, and compliance controls on the travel and GTCC programs and travel-related processes. Delivers training, briefings, guidance on travel compliance and improper payment prevention. Plans, initiates, conducts, and evaluates recurring reviews, audits, special studies, and statistical analyses to assess compliance, improper payment risk, internal controls, and overall program effectiveness. Provides advice, guidance, and technical assistance at all organizational levels on travel compliance matters, entitlement issues, voucher processing, internal controls, special travel requirements, and related travel program concerns.
