About the role
The duties of the Registered Nurse (Reusable Medical Devices Coordinator) include, but are not limited to: Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising the processing of devices. Monitors, analyzes, and provides consultation on infection control issues regarding RMD Program. Participates in clinical rounds to assist in the need and verification of each service's SOP's for RMD. Follows procedures per established policies and guidelines. Executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex situations. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Responsible for providing clinical knowledge in the processes used for all critical, semi-critical, and non-critical Reusable Medical Equipment (RMD) per manufacturers' instructions for use (IFU) throughout the facility.
