Healthcare Engineer

Major duties include, but not limited to: Leads and manages complex healthcare engineering and construction projects, ensuring compliance with VA, federal, state, and industry standards. Performs technical assessments of facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, and utility infrastructure. Interprets and applies healthcare regulatory requirements such as TJC, OSHA, NFPA, and VA directives to facility operations and project planning. Reviews and evaluates engineering designs, specifications, cost estimates, project schedules, and contractor performance for accuracy and compliance. Identifies system deficiencies, analyzes alternatives, and recommends engineering solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and reliability .Plans, prioritizes, and executes multiple projects simultaneously, managing scopes of work, budgets, resources, and contract documentation.
