About the role
Manage industrial hygiene program for the Medical Treatment Facility to control a variety of occupational health and environmental hazards. Conduct audits to evaluate occupational health hazards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and analyzing findings to make recommendations for corrective action. Develop sampling strategies using indirect and direct reading instruments such as pumps, meters, heat stress monitors, and/or dosimeters, to quantify hazards. Advise management on industrial hygiene and related safety, environmental, and emergency response issues. Create instruction to train employees, management, and/or other safety professional personnel on industrial hygiene and related occupational health, safety, and environmental issues. Provide emergency response guidance to on-scene commanders, fire fighters, and other emergency response personnel as needed.
