Nurse (Labor and Delivery)

Administer and monitor oxygen therapy and utilize intensive pulmonary care techniques as needed. Respond decisively to changes in maternal/fetal conditions, assist in providing immediate and appropriate measures according to Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification protocols. Plan, direct, and coordinate total patient care activities and foster multi-disciplinary involvement by other intra and interdepartmental services. Initiate and coordinate regular periodic Patient Care Conferences. Function as the primary liaison and advocate for patient and family using appropriate crisis intervention techniques. Participate in the orientation and training of newly assigned unit personnel. Participate in cross training initiatives
