General Engineer, AST, Facility Systems Safety (Direct Hire)

Serve as the Designated GRC (Lewis Field and Armstrong Test Facility) Hazardous Operations Safety Engineer (HOSE) for operations involving hazardous gases/liquids, including but not limited to Hydrogen and Oxygen. Advise and resolve technical matters, while also making recommendations to management. Support NASA HQ and GRC working groups, and audits as required. Work closely with management to utilize data to render hazardous operations safety advice, consultation, and assistance. Calculate quantity distances for pressurized systems, perform qualitative review analyses and serve as the subject matter expert for hazardous operations. Develop and propose safety requirements and criteria, review plans and specifications for new construction or building alterations and monitor project completion to ensure compliance with safety codes and standards.
