Security Specialist (Direct Hire)

Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee. Serve as the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for the Protective Services Contract, providing contract oversight and coordinating services among customers, procurement, and the contractor. Perform security assessments, the development of security procedures, standards, training, and methods to protect NASA assets and classified information from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss. Serve as a Team Lead and NASA Special Agent with protective details, investigations, emergency response, threat assessments and cases tied to misconduct to mitigate risks to NASA facilities.
