About the role
Accesses traveler’s payment history to review travel payments that may overlap or duplicate the claim being audited. Reviews travel vouchers for a variety of potential monetary and non-monetary improper payments. Identifies the type of claim and travel performed, verifies all claim information to include per diem rates, etc., and applies applicable regulations. Verifies all travel entitlements for accuracy to include payments for lodging, mileage, rental car, etc. Provides technical advice and assistance to managers and other supervisor personnel in the audited area.
