Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC)

As a Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) at the GS-2210-12 some of your typical work assignments may include: Manages the DINFOS Risk Management Framework (RMF) by developing and updating risk analyses, vulnerability assessments, and mitigation strategies. Tracks agency issued Communications Tasking Orders, coordinates messages and Information Assurances (IA) Alerts. Stays abreast of emergent IA threats, as well as industry and agency responses to threats. Recommend IA procedures or technology enhancements to the Branch Chiefs and the Director of Plans & Technology. Ensures software patches and mitigations are applied, and configuration data in an agency continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS) database is current. Provides management and oversight of the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) at DINFOS to allow for reporting of vulnerabilities and compliance.
