About the role
At the full performance level (GS-14) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Manages implementation of conservation measures, compliance with environmental laws, regulations and policies concerning a variety of fish and wildlife species, endangered species, and habitat restoration for both Federal and non-Federal covered actions for the Lower Colorado River Multi-Species Conservation Program (LCR MSCP). Develops annual work plan that is reviewed and approved by the Steering Committee (consisting of more than 50 entities) and receives concurrence from the US Fish and Wildlife Service. The work plan documents environmental compliance and details all program implementation activities for the following year (e.g., fish augmentation, creation and management of habitat, monitoring and research, land purchase) to identify opportunities to purchase or secure land and water to be used for program implementation.
