About the role
This position serves as the Logistics Management Specialist with responsibility for direction and control of logistics planning that includes multiple activities and may include geographically separated areas where no supply chain management personnel are assigned. The primary purpose of this position is to direct, develop and implement policy programs and procedures for the accurate management of Supply Chain Management (SCM) planning and provides administrative and technical oversight to a lower-graded specialist. As a SCM Team Member, the position collaborates with the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO), VAMC Senior Management leadership, Veterans Integrated Service Network staff (VISN), Veterans Health Administration (VHA) program office and Senior Management and leadership in supported activities developing supply chain management strategies in support of f the VA Health Care System and supported catchment area.
