About the role
You will evaluate the physical characteristics of the ship (blueprint) to ascertain capacity upon receiving the proposed load listing, and the name of the assigned ship. You will assemble the package from the proposed load listing into workable units by Coast Guard Class, weight and cube, in order to proceed with pre-planning. You will coordinate with various other depots/commands that have pre-loaded cargo, to assure proper spaces compatibility and stability. You will assign the proper manpower for best efficiency, schedule the work daily for Waterfront and magazine personnel. You will direct and advise Ordnance personnel on technical aspects of stowage. You will prepare cost estimates and detailed job orders and investigate differences between estimated and detailed job orders.
