About the role

Develop, evaluate, modify and instruct doctoral level classes in fundamentals of anesthesia. Integrate nursing science with biophysical sciences to prepare nurses for the highest level of advanced nursing practice in the specialty of anesthesia. Coordinate the simulation program experiences involving specialty area of anesthesia practice, such as pharmacology and regional anesthesia. Plan, refine and assist in presenting approximately 122 credit hours of doctoral level nurse anesthesia education in the US Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing (USAGPAN). Teaches the formulation of anesthetic care plans, anesthetic techniques, prevention of patient complications, procedures and equipment requirements, monitoring, record keeping and care of equipment.
