SPACE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Ensures that the policies are technically sound and managerially responsive to meet organizational requirements. Conducts comprehensive management studies using knowledge of economic principles, cost analysis and environmental assessments as related to space management, analyzing study results ,identifying problems and improvements. Analyzes and evaluates space requests considering activities organization structure, workflow, staffing, mission, location, special requirements and availability of space. Evaluates requests for additional space assignments within prescribed space allocations for permanent staff, approved contractor support, or ad hoc groups to determine the necessity for urgent requests. Coordinates the procurement, changes and moves of telephone and local area network services to support personnel and classified or unclassified equipment relocations for special projects.
