About the role

The selectee will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INF/CDA) in the Security Operations Branch, IT Operations Program, Office of the Chief Information Officer. Typical work assignments include: Using mitigation, preparedness, and response and recovery approaches, as needed, in support of incident response in order to maximize system availability and minimize system recovery time. Using defensive measures and information collected from a variety of sources to identify, analyze, and report events that occur or might occur within the network to protect information, information systems, and networks from threats. Testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, reviewing, and administering cybersecurity infrastructure hardware and software required to effectively manage the computer network defense and security of USSS IT systems, networks and resources.
