About the role
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is looking for an experienced senior level executive to serve as the Deputy Director, Office of Energy Market Regulation (OEMR). Under overall guidance of the Director, the Deputy: ensures all programmatic responsibilities of the Office of Energy Market Regulation are accomplished in an effective manner. Works as a team with other Office Directors and their respective staffs to support the Commission's mission and fulfill substantive and managerial responsibilities. Develops market, rate, and tariff policies; OEMR mission and vision statements, goals, and strategic plans; and supports the development of the Commission's strategic and performance plans. Additional responsibilities: Implements initiatives promoting and enhancing competitive markets and conducts examination and interpretation of elements critical to maintaining competitive markets, including market power, market rules, market structure, and market behavior.
