Labor Management Relations Examiner (Senior Field Examiner)

As a Labor Management Relations Examiner (Senior Field Examiner), GS-0244-14, your typical work assignments may include: Serving as the senior field examiner and expert in unfair labor practice investigations and representation cases for the Region. Handling cases with novel issues, without precedent, and/or requiring considerable interpretation of law, and a high degree of original and creative legal endeavor. Communicating to the staff issues to be solved, actionable events, and milestones, and assisting with adherence to deadlines and time frames for completion. At the direction of the Regional Director or their designee, editing written documents before submission to management officials. Handling representation cases involving the initial processing of petitions, conducting representation hearings and drafting both pre- and post-election decisions.
