Engineering Technician (Civil)

You will analyze contract drawings to develop project specifications for a wide variety of construction projects, including military installations, airfields, and medical facilities. You will prepare and coordinate the technical aspects of bidding documents, including bid schedules, solicitation instructions, and special contract requirements You will prepare procurement documents including development of procurement specifications for procurement process. You will provide guidance to in-house teams and Architectural-Engineering firms on interpreting these specifications and responds to contractor/supplier inquiries You will review a set of standard specifications and contract clauses for adequacy, adherence to engineering criteria, and cost-effectiveness. You will confer with design engineers and architects on adaptability of new materials and processes to the construction program.
