About the role
You will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (PLCYPLN-INFOSEC) and be responsible for managing information technology projects. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Developing supply chain, system, network, performance, and cybersecurity requirements. Monitoring and auditing the schedule, cost, and operational performance of national security systems (NSS), classified information, critical infrastructure, and other information systems. Developing and documenting supply chain risks. Providing recommendations for possible IT improvements and upgrades. Assisting with IT cyber contract negotiations and investments. Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position. A.
