About the role
As a Science Officer you will: Serve as the principal advisor and Associate Director of Science (ADS) to the World Trade Center Health Program (WTCHP) Director and senior management on scientific matters. Review reports, scientific papers, memoranda, congressional inquiries, and other similar materials for the purpose of providing written recommendations concerning these scientific issues and may be called upon to provide testimony at OMB and Congressional hearings on issues of expertise in WTCHP and CIO research. Apply techniques in the fields of research within WTCHP, NIOSH, CDC/ATSDR, HHS and other Federal agencies., State and local agencies, public health organizations, labor, industry etc. Serve on review committees, study groups, public health task groups, or comparable groups delegated responsibility for reviewing and developing medical monitoring, screen and health care for 9/11 responders and survivors' policies, procedures and guidelines.
