Recreation Aid (Fitness)

Performs a variety of duties and responsibilities in support of the day to day operation of JBSA-Lackland AFB Fitness Centers. Serves as front desk attendant ensuring only authorized patrons use the facility and equipment, and adhere to Fitness Center policy. Greets visitors, answers telephones, makes reservations for classes or use of equipment and facilities, and provides information on scheduled events and classes. Issues sports equipment and completes required documentation for transactions. Inspects returned equipment noting damage. Reports damaged exercise equipment to supervisor. Performs opening and closing procedures of facilities in accordance with written guidelines. Maintains and prepares Fitness Center facilities, grounds and equipment for daily use, programs and special functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
