Recreation Assistant - Outdoor Recreation (Camp McKean)

The incumbent provides direct customer service to patrons utilizing the facility. The incumbent greets customers, answers and refers telephone calls, takes messages and provides information regarding the facility and program by utilizing all available resources. Resolves customer complaints, solicits feedback to improve quality of service, and takes corrective action, if needed. Assists with planning, coordination and execution of activities and events associated with the program. May be required to drive an 8 or 15 passenger van and is responsible for comfort and well being of passengers while ensuring participants are equipped with proper equipment and attire. Incumbent maintains participant counts, trip records and logs. Maintains custody of equipment assigned to the activity or trip, advising supervisor of status, any necessary repairs and need for supplies, parts or replacements.
