About the role
1. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the N&NC J6 Cyber Assurance Branch ensuring that all governed information technologies comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. 2. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. 3. Represents NORAD and USNORTHCOM with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. 4. Serves as the N&NC Security Control Assessor (SCA)ensuring all governed information technologies comply with the DOD Risk Management Framework (RMF). Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all the families of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53A RMF Security Controls. 5. Oversees information system Continuous Monitoring Program to assess and mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities with the purpose of reducing risks to N&NC governed systems.
