About the role
The incumbent serves as a Maintenance Mechanic Assistant Supervisor, and shares responsibility with the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor for planning, scheduling, and coordinating work operations; and solving problems related to the work performed by Pipefitters, Insulators, Welders, Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanics, Industrial Equipment Mechanics, Maintenance Mechanic Workers, and/or Maintenance Mechanic Helpers in the Mechanical Systems Branch. The tour of duty is Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Note: This position is emergency essential - Depending on the type of emergency the employee may be required to report to work during emergency situations. The Maintenance Mechanic Assistant Supervisor is required to report to work during emergencies and inclement weather situations. Tour of duty may include holidays and weekends on a regular or recurring basis. Rotating shift work may also be required at management's discretion.
