IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)

Develops agency cybersecurity and/or Information Technology (IT) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and DoD cybersecurity, Information Assurance, and Risk Management requirements. Delivers multi-discipline IT expertise to achieve conformance with statutory and regulatory requirements and support interoperability among enterprise systems and applications. Performs cybersecurity evaluations of agency programs and systems. Analyzes complex, often ambiguous, data to determine the agency's overall security and compliance posture, reporting findings and recommending strategic corrective actions. Performs research and prepares high-impact technical documents, briefings, implementation plans, etc. to support cybersecurity compliance initiatives. Maintains in-depth knowledge of operating systems, standard applications, and specialized cybersecurity evaluation tools to assess the security posture of the agency's systems.
