Supervisory Health System Specialist - Chief Compliance Officer

Duties for the position include but are not limited to: Incumbent directs, develops, implements, and oversees a multi-disciplinary, health-care system- wide Compliance Department within the scope of a VHA-mandated Privacy and Freedom of Information Act Program, Research Compliance Program, Records Management Program, Integrity & Compliance Office Program, Healthcare Ethics Program, and the Controlled Substance Inspection Program which includes auditing, monitoring, and creating corrective action plan activities in any identified high-risk area or area of non-complaint business practice. Establishes goals and objectives for the Corporate Compliance Department and ensures their implementation. Incumbent identifies issues, areas, and/or subject matter that may create risk for the organization and makes recommendations to Executive Leadership to avoid or minimize them.
